DNS Leak Protection
Every time you type a website address—like www.example.com—your device asks a DNS server to find the correct IP address. Normally, this request goes through your Internet Service Provider (ISP), which can log, monitor, or even block the websites you try to visit.
When you use VPN this exchange of information doesn’t take place. However, even when you're using a VPN, sometimes DNS requests are sent outside the VPN tunnel. This is called a DNS leak as it exposes your online activity, even when you are using VPN.
Systweak VPN's offer DNS Leak Protection ensuring all DNS requests stay inside the encrypted VPN tunnel, and are sent only through secure DNS servers controlled by Systweak. That means your ISP, network admin, or any malicious party cannot know what websites you’re visiting.
This feature is important when using public Wi-Fi networks or accessing sensitive information. It adds an extra layer of security to your internet connection.
Benefits:
- Blocks DNS requests from leaking outside the VPN.
- Prevents ISPs and local networks from tracking your web history.
- Works automatically—no need to change advanced settings.
- Enhances your privacy when browsing, streaming, or working remotely.
